Did you know that here in the UK we work longer and harder than any other country in Europe - makes you tired just thinking about it doesn't it!
Its no wonder then that when we’re thinking about our next job, or deciding which career path to follow its not just the job that’s important – it’s the benefits and rewards we can enjoy as a result.
What can I expect to earn?
Well let’s get right to it – how much can you expect to earn. Well the simple answer is that just like every other industry it depends on the job and it depends on how well you perform.
Most recruitment businesses operate on a basic salary plus individual bonus pay structure for their recruitment teams – those managing and developing candidates and clients. Business support teams are also paid using a similar salary structure although performance bonuses are often based on business performance overall - limiting the potential bonus you can earn. Obviously, every recruitment business is unique but to give you an idea of the average salaries across the industry we have done some research.
Want more than just money?
So, working in the recruitment industry provides a genuine opportunity to earn excellent salaries but there’s more to life than money….well we think so!What about career opportunities, what about career progression and personal growth.
What about continually learning and developing your personal skill sets and knowledge in an ever-changing marketplace.
What about working in an environment where every day you have the opportunity to change someone’s life – sounds a bit dramatic doesn’t it but just think about it. Think about the impact you make to a persons life when you support and guide them into a new job – perhaps its their first ever career step, maybe they’re returning to work after parenthood or maybe it’s the job they’ve dreamed about having all their life - and you helped them to achieve it.
Imagine the client whose business is suffering because they don’t have the right people with the right skills. Imagine the impact you can make to their business by introducing the right candidate for the job – a candidate that doesn’t just fit the job specification but one that adds real value to the team and makes a positive contribution to the success of your clients business.
Working in recruitment is hard work, it will continually challenge you, continually stretch you and sometimes – just sometimes – it will drive you to distraction but believe us – it’s worth it. But don’t just take our word for it. Here are some of the letters and cards our members and their teams have received from our candidates and clients.
